Opening Interregional Webinar: Setting the Stage for the 2025–2026 Learning Pathways

Coal phaseout is one of the most important strategies for achieving the objectives of the Paris Agreement in order to limit global warming. Regions in transition can benefit from knowledge-sharing spaces, where leaders and stakeholders can share cutting-edge knowledge and ongoing practices, challenges, and reflections.

Hosted by the International Labour Organization (ILO), the 2025–2026 IKI JET Training Series compiles regional and global priorities into a modular training package for multi-disciplinary learning pathways. Its opening interregional webinar, entitled Setting the Stage for the 2025–2026 Learning Pathways, aims to bring together just transition policy-makers, practitioners, and stakeholders at country level, as well as project staff involved in IKI JET activities across Latin America, Africa, and the Asia–Pacific. The webinar will:

    • Set the stage for an interregional reflection and exchange to identify commonalities, success stories, and bottlenecks.
    • Provide an opportunity for interested participants to familiarise themselves with the IKI JET training offer for 2025–2026 and suggest ideas for tailored training needs and interests.
    • Offer a space for sharing lessons learned and good practices from regional communities of practice and 2023–2024 training programmes, paving the way for the 2025–2026 learning pathways.
    • Foster partnerships and collaborations across the IKI JET global community.

The webinar will take place simultaneously in English, Spanish, and Indonesian. For additional information and enquiries, please reach out to greenjobs@itcilo.org.
