Why does gender matter in a ‘just transition’?
On October 26, the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) will convene a debate bringing leading thinkers in the energy, extractives and agriculture sectors to unpack the concept of a ‘gender just transition’, exploring different perspectives on gender just transitions and identifying gender-just approaches from different sectors.
The session will also discuss feminist approaches to just transitions and how to include women and gender minorities in just transition processes.
This event is part of the IIED Debates series, aimed at discussing critical issues with international community stakeholders.
