Virtual Launch: Southeast Asia Just Coal Transition Learning Hub

The Southeast Asia Just Coal Transition Learning Hub is a regional knowledge platform developed by the World Bank partnering with the Energy Transition Partnership for Southeast Asia (ETP-UNOPS).

Following the adaptation of World Bank’s EU Coal Transition Learning Modules for Southeast Asia, working closely with regional partners such as IESR Indonesia, 33 learning modules have been contextualised for the region, and the first Asia Just Coal Transition Annual Forum was held in Jakarta in December 2024.

The World Bank is pleased to announce the Virtual Launch on 2 April 2026, 08:00 – 10:00 AM GMT+7

This session aims to:

1. Engage with participants in discussions on asset valorisation, land repurposing, and social aspects of just transition, informed by lessons from the EU and Asia.

2.Showcase two dedicated knowledge pieces on Social Dimensions of Just Transition and Land and Asset Repurposing methodologies.

3.Demo selected learning modules from the Southeast Asia Just Coal Transition Learning Hub.
