SB 64 Bonn Climate Change Conference: Just transition event round-up
The 64th sessions of the Subsidiary Bodies (SB 64)—also known as UNFCCC’s Bonn Climate Change Conference—will take place from 8 to 18 June 2026 in Bonn, Germany. The conference serves as a halfway point between COP 30 in Belém, Brazil, and COP 31 in Antalya, Türkiye.
The SBs are expected to recommend a draft decision on the United Arab Emirates Just Transition Work Programme, including on a just transition mechanism, the process for its operationalisation, and the terms of reference for the review of the work programme.
A number of side events will take place throughout Bonn Climate Change Conference, several of which focus on just transition. Here is an indicative list of just transition side events in Bonn. A full list of just transition side events will be available soon.
