SB 60 Bonn Climate Change Conference: Just transition event round-up

The 60th sessions of the Subsidiary Bodies (SB 60) – also known as UNFCCC’s Bonn Climate Change Conference – will take place from June 3 to 13, 2024, at the World Conference Center in Bonn, Germany.

At the event, which functions as a halfway point between COP 28 in Dubai and COP 29 in Baku, attendees will discuss lessons learned from the first Global Stocktake, progress made on the development of reporting tools under the Paris Agreement’s enhanced transparency framework, and support for developing countries to prepare their biennial transparency reports.

On June 2-3, SB 60 will also host the first dialogue under the United Arab Emirates Just Transition Work Programme, which aims to identify pathways to achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement through nationally determined contributions (NDCs), national adaptation plans, and long-term low-emission development strategies.
