A Just Transition in Education: A webinar about care work and just transition

This webinar focuses on the education chapter of the recently published report on Care Work in the Just Transition: An International Inquiry, examining the significance of the just transition strategy for education workers.

While recognising the impact of climate change and the need for a just energy transition, this report seeks to expand the scope of just transition to all workers and communities, particularly those in the care sector, which includes multiple forms of work, paid and unpaid, that are essential to human and nonhuman wellbeing.

Education is a major part of the political economy, central to the reproduction of people as workers and as citizens. This webinar draws on the perspectives of three union representatives from the USA, UK and global unions, and an engaged academic advisor, to explore the significance of just transition for educational workers.
