Dialogue on Equitable Transition: Identifying the role of the private sector in socio-economic empowerment of communities

The Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR), a think tank in the field of energy and environment, will host a dialogue to engage business stakeholders in sharing insights and strategies for the development of effective community and environmental empowerment programmes ahead of Indonesia’s post-mining activities.

The event will also discuss challenges faced for an equitable energy transition and identify collaborative post-mining activities based on economic potential, natural resources, and community considerations, emphasising the importance of a just transition. The event also aims to foster stronger collaboration between the government and business owners in the fair energy transition agenda.
