Fair, Equitable, and Inclusive Energy Transition: IGF 2023 Annual General Meeting (session 9)

This autumn, the 19th Intergovernmental Forum on Mining, Minerals, Metals and Sustainable Development (IGF) Annual General Meeting (AGM) convenes to consider how mining benefits will be shared in the energy transition, exploring this critical topic for resource-rich governments. The event will take place November 7–9 at the Palais des Nations Geneva, Switzerland, hosted by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development.

Session 9 of the AGM focuses on fair, equitable, and inclusive energy transition, spotlighting the vital role that energy transition plays in society and in furthering sustainable economic growth. As the transition continues and society strives to achieve global climate goals, no one should be left behind. This session will discuss the actions needed to ensure a fair, equitable, and inclusive energy transition for all.
