Energy Community Just Transition Forum

The Energy Community, an international organization which brings together the European Union and its neighbours to create an integrated pan-European energy market, will convene the Just Transition Forum 2023 on October 4. This forum constitutes a dialogue between different stakeholders from the national and local governments, IFIs, trade union representatives, NGOs and academia, aimed at discussing the core aspects of a just transition.

The themes under discussion will include: policy planning and implementation to reflect just transition planning in governments national transformation strategies; understanding the impact of the transition both on people and environment, with a focus on the labour market and air quality conditions; and adequate forms of support such as sustainable investments and other financial tools.
