Capturing Value: Industrial ecosystems and local benefits of just transition

The Just Transition Platform (JTP) technical assistance facility, JTP Groundwork, is hosting its 5th Technical Regional Forum in Aalborg, Denmark.

Titled ‘Capturing value: Industrial ecosystems and local benefits of just transition’, the event will explore how industrial decarbonisation and carbon capture, usage and storage can improve competitiveness and bring lasting economic, social and innovation benefits for Just Transition Fund regions and their communities.

The forum will bring together policymakers, industry representatives, researchers, regional authorities and just transition stakeholders to exchange experiences on how to use low-carbon industrial ecosystems and value chains for green transition investments.

The forum will feature interactive workshops, expert panels and networking opportunities, as well as a visit to an active cement production site, Aalborg Portland, to better understand the role industry plays in the region’s low-carbon transition.
