13th International Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development: Taking Action for Just Energy Transition

The 13th International Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development will take place from December 2 to 4, 2024, at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok, Thailand, with the theme of Taking Action for Just Energy Transition. The forum will be jointly organised by the five United Nations Regional Commissions.

The forum will explore pathways towards accelerating the energy transition and ensuring that the transition is “just.” Experts from the energy sector, representatives from governments, United Nations entities, international organisations, and other stakeholders will discuss the major issues and demonstrate actions towards a just energy transition. Among the energy issues that will be covered are access to clean cooking, access to electricity, renewable energy, energy efficiency, digitalisation and artificial intelligence, gender mainstreaming, youth in energy, and cleaner use of fossil fuels.
