Meeting of the Collaborative Framework on Just and Inclusive Energy Transitions

Advancing a just and inclusive energy transition depends on ensuring that workers, communities, and groups across society can benefit from the opportunities it creates.

The virtual session “Meeting of the Collaborative Framework on Just and Inclusive Energy Transitions: Strategies for Benefit Sharing, Social Inclusion and Public Engagement” will bring together government representatives, practitioners and experts to reflect on approaches that strengthen social inclusion, foster meaningful public engagement, and support a fair distribution of benefits from the transition.

The discussion will also draw on recent analysis, including work by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), to help inform national approaches.

Building on earlier exchanges under the Collaborative Framework, the session will provide space to consider emerging practices and lessons learned from across the globe as countries shape their just energy transition efforts.
