Achieving sustainable climate resilience in Africa requires a multi-faceted and holistic approach that integrates advanced capacity building, cutting-edge research, innovative technologies, supportive policies, adequate financing mechanisms, and gender-equitable practices.
To address these challenges, the International Conference on Climate Change and Just Energy Transition 2025 will bring together researchers, policy-makers, practitioners, financiers, innovators, civil society, community leaders, women leaders, and young leaders. The overall goal is to foster knowledge exchange, showcase innovative approaches, and catalyse collaborative strategies to build sustainable climate resilience in Africa.
The conference seeks to drive inclusive, sustainable, impactful solutions for climate resilience and just energy transition. The conference will:
- Assess and address knowledge gaps in climate adaptation, mitigation, and policy
- Promote innovative policy solutions and financing mechanisms for climate resilience
- Foster gender-inclusive and community-driven climate action, engaging women and youth
- Integrate scientific and Indigenous knowledge for localised climate solutions
- Encourage technological innovation in climate-smart agriculture, water management, energy, and disaster risk reduction
- Facilitate partnerships between researchers, policy-makers, financiers, and local communities
- Develop actionable policy recommendations to guide governance and investment
