Just Transition Rising

Just Transition Rising is a two-day online gathering bringing together union leaders, grassroots organisers, campaigners, and policy advocates to explore how justice can be placed at the heart of climate action.

From lived experience to structural change, organisers will spotlight—through panels and breakout sessions—how justice is being fought for on the ground, and ensure those demands are heard on the road to COP30.

As authoritarianism, corporate power, and climate breakdown escalate, the call for a just transition has never been more urgent. The event will explore the building blocks of a just transition—from social protection, decent work, and energy access to investment rules, trade justice, and inclusion—while recognising that struggles differ by national and sectoral contexts.

By bringing together diverse voices—from striking metalworkers to Indigenous leaders, from public sector unions to land and water defenders—the event aims to connect movements, align strategies, and build collective power for a just transition rooted in equity, solidarity, and hope.
